3D-printing-info

An open knowledge base built and maintained over more than eight years of running Voron and other printers: FAQs, Klipper guides, working printer configs, board pinout schematics, hard-won tool and filament recommendations, curated bookmarks and STL links, all in one place.

Free and open source under GPL-3.0. Everything lives in the GitHub repo; the cards below link straight to each section.

Most of this was learned the hard way, one layer shift, clog and failed first layer at a time. Rather than let it scatter across forums and browser tabs, it is gathered here so the next person, often future me, does not have to scour the internet again.

What is inside

Eleven sections, each a folder in the repo. Click any card to open it on GitHub.

Guides

The largest section: PID tuning, Shake n Tune, filament drying, bed adhesion, levelling, painting, resolving Stealthburner clogs, temp towers, slicer choices, colour swaps and Klipper setup.

Printer configs

Real, working configs for my Vorons past and present: Trident 350, Voron 0.2, plus a Qidi Q1 Pro, Nevermore, sensorless and LED configs, and a summary of every upgrade on the Trident.

FAQs

Bambu and Voron frequently asked questions: AMS feeding failures and cleaning, stuck cutters, layer-shift causes, sensorless steppers, motor wiring and levelling with or without a probe.

Diagrams and schematics

Common Voron board pinouts in one place: BTT Octopus and Octopus Pro, SKR Mini E3, EBB36 and SB CAN toolheads, Raspberry Pi 4 GPIO and a Trident assembly model.

Recommendations

A curated list of 3D-printing tools, electrical tools and tool accessories, plus my personal filament experiences across brands and materials.

Browser bookmarks

Over six years of curated Voron and 3D-printing bookmarks, exported and importable straight into your favourite browser.

STL collections

Personal STL collections curated from around the web, alongside links to many additional STL resources worth knowing.

Voron startup macros

PRINT_START style startup configs for the Voron 2.4 and Voron Trident, ready to adapt into your own printer setup.

Handy Linux commands

The Debian and Raspbian commands every Klipper host needs but nobody remembers, kept in one cheatsheet.

Moonraker

A handy reference for calling a Klipper g-code macro through the Moonraker API.

Printable stickers

A few fun "Oliver Certified" and "Tuned By" sticker artworks to print or stick on your machine.

Why it exists

Voron and Klipper reward tinkering, but the knowledge is scattered: a pinout on one forum, a drying temperature on another, the macro you need buried in a Discord thread from two years ago.

So this repo is my working notebook, kept public. The configs are the ones running on my own machines, the recommendations are things I actually bought and used, and the guides are the write-ups I wish I had found the first time. If it saves you an evening of searching, it has done its job.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

Anyone running or building a Voron, a Klipper-based printer or a Bambu machine, from first setup through tuning and troubleshooting. Much of it is Voron-focused but the guides on drying, adhesion, slicers and clogs apply to any FDM printer.

Are the printer configs safe to copy?

They are real configs from my own printers, shared as reference. Never flash another machine's config wholesale; treat them as a guide, match them to your own hardware and pins, and test carefully.

How do I use the browser bookmarks?

They are exported bookmark files. Import them through your browser's bookmark manager to get the whole curated set of Voron and 3D-printing links at once.

Is it free?

Yes. The repository is free and open source under the GNU GPL-3.0 licence. If it helps and you would like to say thanks, there is a coffee donation link, entirely optional.

Can I contribute or suggest additions?

It is a personal knowledge base, so it reflects my own printers and experience. Open an issue on the repo if something is out of date or you have a resource worth adding.
